The Global Sustainable Impact Portfolio invests in companies whose core business addresses at least one of the world’s social and environmental challenges, as defined by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They must derive revenue from positively impacting one or more of these universal goals and maintain minimum ESG standards.

Environmental Conservation

We look at each company’s energy use, waste, pollution, natural resource conservation and animal treatment. We also evaluate which environmental risks might affect a company’s income and how the company is managing those risks.

Social Responsibility

We look at the company’s business relationships. Does it work with suppliers that hold the same values that the company itself claims to hold? Does the company donate a percentage of its profits to the community or perform volunteer work?

We look at a companies use of accurate and transparent accounting, common stockholders being able to vote on important issues, and conflicts of interest on the board.

Mowi is an advocate for several of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting Life Below Water as one of the key initiatives they focus on.

Novozymes A/S

Impact Summary

Novozymes has partnered with companies to address waste management procedures. Currently, the program ensures waste for over 110,00 homes are properly recycled and converted into biogas. The company prevents the material entering oceans through sewage disposal, and uses their resources to convert the waste into green power. Through this process Novozymes AS has helped power 9,500 households, equaling approximately 5 MW of electricity.

Impact Summary

Sherwin-Williams Co is one of the nations leading companies for construction materials. They supply professional, industrial, commercial, and retail customers. The Sherwin-Williams Matching Gifts program matches employee contributions to qualified nonprofits across the U.S. and Canada.
