Linking Bank Account

Currently Newday users can link one bank account at a time. We plan on having the option to link several bank accounts in the near future. In order to change your linked bank account please unlink your original account and connect the new bank.

If you don’t see your bank listed as one of the options you can select manual link. You will be prompted to input your bank details.

Go to your account profile in the app and select the linked bank account option. Then select unlink bank from the drop down options.

Please note, if you unlink your bank account and submit a withdraw request there won’t be anywhere for us to send your money to. Please do not unlink your bank account if you are waiting for a withdrawal.

Some banks do not have electronic verification, so we need to verify the account with micro deposits. If you are linking your bank account manually you will need to have micro deposit verification.

Two small test deposits will be temporarily deposited to your bank account. This will help verify whether the account information is valid. The micro deposits will be reversed after confirmation.

The two micro deposit values will need to be entered into your Newday account for us to verify the amount.

Withdrawals

If you would like to withdraw a portion of your money in an investment account you can select the value you would like to withdraw from the  investment account home page.*

If you would like to withdraw your entire account value we will need to close your account. Once the account is closed all funds will be sent to your linked bank account. Please do not unlink your bank account, otherwise there will be no way for us to spend the money to you.

*If the remaining balance falls below recommended portfolio allocation amounts the entire portfolio may be liquidated.

Investments will need to be liquidated first which takes 3 business days, then the withdrawal process will take an additional 1-3 days depending on the timing of the withdrawal request. 

Yes, at this time if you choose to withdraw all your funds your account will be closed. If you would like to withdraw all your funds but still keep your account open please send us a message in the in-app support chat.

Deposits

Your deposit will take 5 business days to clear into your Newday account, depending on the time you submit the deposit request.

Your money will be invested in the next business day as it clears into your account, depending on the time of the day you submit the deposit request.

The app notifies you when a transfer is pending and when it has posted. If you have checked and this is not the case, please contact us at [email protected] or in app support. 

If you do not have sufficient funds in your bank account the deposit will be returned. You may be charged a $30.00 NSF fee for the returned ACH transfer.

If the transfer hasn’t already processed, users will be able to cancel the transfer by selecting the transaction history in their accounts. If the transfer has already processed and you do not have sufficient funds in your bank account the deposit will be returned. You may be charged a $30.00 NSF fee for the returned ACH transfer.

Yes, under manage your account section in the app users can set up and edit a recurring deposit.

Please make sure that you remember that you have a recurring deposit set up and that you have funds available in your account. If the transfer has already processed and you do not have sufficient funds in your bank account the deposit will be returned. You may be charged a $30.00 NSF fee for the returned ACH transfer.

If you go to your profile in the app and navigate to the manage your account section you will be able to edit your recurring deposit.

If you check your investment home page, you will see your account balance. Underneath there is a section called “contribution frequency” where you will be able to see how much and how frequent you scheduled your deposit.

Contribution frequency will be displayed only if you set up recurring deposit. If you did set up recurring deposit you will see the value of the deposit displayed there.
